About Me

I currently serve as the Watts Endowed Family Chair of the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice and Director of the Center for Violence Prevention & Community Safety at Arizona State University (ASU). I formerly served as the founding director of ASU’s Master of Arts of Criminal Justice (MACJ) program and as the founding director of the Master of Science in Crime Analysis degree program.

Welcome to my website. I have found that many academics, policymakers, and practitioners not located in the United States often have difficulty accessing peer-reviewed research and reports. I created this website to focus on my work in the Caribbean and Latin America, which primarily focuses on developing strategic responses to violent crime. Here you can download my latest manuscripts, reports, academic presentations, and invited talks. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or comments.
